Worship Leader
Cornerstone Baptist Church is seeking a godly man to serve as our Worship Leader. The primary purpose for this role is to have someone to lead the musical aspects of our worship service on Sunday mornings and to train a God-called man for pastoral ministry through our Pastoral Residency program. The ability to lead worship both vocally and instrumentally is required, but we do have a worship team consisting of a pianist and some vocalists.
Cornerstone Baptist Church is an SBC church replant in the south end of Louisville, KY. We officially launched in March of 2024 after several months of prayer and preparatory work as two like-minded sister churches combined to start a new work as Cornerstone. We have active small groups/classes, an Awana Club and youth program, an English as Second Language class, and are always looking for ways to connect our community to the gospel and our church. We are also involved with several local ministry partners to serve mothers and families in unexpected pregnancies, people struggling with homelessness or addiction, refugees and immigrants, and women in sex trafficking. Our Sunday morning attendance is currently in the mid-50s to mid-60s.
This is a part-time position with responsibilities primarily on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Other responsibilities and time commitments will be flexible with the candidate’s family, work, and school responsibilities.
